Notes

Waka-on’na represents a female mask with a benevolent face and soft form, which is used in many stories. With this mask the performer, slanting it ups and downs against illumination, can express the several moods of the character be them happy or sad.

As a photographer of art was very attracted by the Noh masks. After he began to produce the Noh mask as a hobby rather than for the theater in Yokohama, Japan, and showed his works at various national and international exhibitions.
