The Museum of the Sacredness of Expressions of Gratitude houses objects from different cultures, communities and countries, collected through the international activities promoted by the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation – Life Beyond Tourism. Each object tells the story of a relationship, an encounter or a gesture of gratitude. Together, they form a collective narrative that celebrates the value of dialogue between cultures.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM

A museum born from encounter

The Museum grew out of the relationships, collaboration and exchange developed over the years between the Foundation and people from around the world. The gifts preserved by the Foundation bear witness to the relationships established over time with individuals, institutions and communities from different countries. Through their symbolic, cultural and anthropological value, they reflect the richness of cultural diversity and the role of encounter in creating bonds between peoples. The Museum is therefore a unique place where tangible heritage gives expression to the intangible heritage of human relationships.

Different cultures, traditions and geographical contexts come together in the Museum. The gifts preserved here show how gratitude can take different forms while expressing a shared value that transcends borders, languages and cultural identities. Through these expressions of gratitude, the Museum invites reflection on the role of human relationships in fostering dialogue and peace, and on the importance of openness towards others and cultural diversity.

THE INTERNATIONAL LIBRARY

Books in different languages and alphabets that tell the stories of cultures from around the world.

A collection of thousands of volumes donated by institutions, universities and individuals from numerous countries. The library houses works in dozens of languages and different alphabets, reflecting the richness of cultural traditions and shared knowledge. Many volumes include a personal dedication, showing that they were not simply acquired, but personally selected and donated.

The Museum of the Sacredness of Expressions of Gratitude is located in Palazzo Coppini, headquarters of the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation – Life Beyond Tourism®, in the historic centre of Florence.

The visit offers an opportunity to discover a unique collection of books, gifts, honours and cultural artefacts from around the world, preserved in a historic setting that reflects the Foundation’s longstanding commitment to dialogue between cultures.

The Museum can be visited by appointment, individually or in groups, by contacting us by phone or email. Visits can also be arranged as part of a guided tour of Palazzo Coppini.
