{"id":34607,"date":"2026-06-30T13:27:30","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T13:27:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondazione-delbianco.org\/collezione\/oggetti\/tosenkyo-fan-tossing-game\/"},"modified":"2026-07-19T15:30:56","modified_gmt":"2026-07-19T15:30:56","slug":"tosenkyo-fan-tossing-game","status":"publish","type":"fdb_oggetto","link":"https:\/\/www.fondazione-delbianco.org\/en\/collezione\/oggetti\/tosenkyo-fan-tossing-game\/","title":{"rendered":"Tosenkyo: fan-tossing game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tosenkyo is a traditional japanese fan-tossing game consisted of: decorated wooden box, 5 decorated fan (yellow, orange, pink, green and blu, violet target and instructions in japanese.<\/p>\n<p>After perching the target like a leaf of ginkgo-nuts called &#8220;Chou&#8221; (means butterfly) on the wooden  box called &#8220;Makura&#8221; (means pillow), the player sits on the knee at a distance of about 1 meter, and tosses an opened fan (called &#8220;Ougi&#8221;) to the target.<br \/>\nThen the judge (called &#8220;Gyouji&#8221;) determines the name and score for the situation among the fan, the target, and the box, simulated Murasaki-Shikibus &#8220;the Tale of GENJI&#8221;.<br \/>\nThe fan for Tosenkyo is only made to toss, not to make wind.
