Brocaded silk with a floral pattern in polychrome colored threads and gold and silver. the extreme ends of the runner, which terminate in a point, have a knotted piece of gold flat cord which hangs from it. the runner is lined in black silk.

The gift is part of a series of textiles donated by Hoshino and in the gift box was a card hand written by her which reads: "Beloved Italian family, Thank you for many warm hearts. I plan it in various ways in Japan. A dream in reality." 2012.12.9 There is also a brochure from the Japanese textile-fashion of Hoshinos family (Kyokane).
