Jvari (Georgian lit.”cross”)
Georgian monastery and temple of the first half of the VII th century. It’s located on the top of a mountain at the confluence of the Kura and Aragvi near Mtskheta, where, according to the historical sources (“Conversion of Georgia “,”Life of the Kartlian Kings”), Sant Nina, Equal to the Apostles, erected the cross. Georgia’s first World Heritage Site (since 1994)
