Tosenkyo is a traditional japanese fan-tossing game consisted of: decorated wooden box, 5 decorated fan (yellow, orange, pink, green and blu, violet target and instructions in japanese.

After perching the target like a leaf of ginkgo-nuts called “Chou” (means butterfly) on the wooden box called “Makura” (means pillow), the player sits on the knee at a distance of about 1 meter, and tosses an opened fan (called “Ougi”) to the target.
Then the judge (called “Gyouji”) determines the name and score for the situation among the fan, the target, and the box, simulated Murasaki-Shikibus “the Tale of GENJI”.
The fan for Tosenkyo is only made to toss, not to make wind. The ribs are less than the normal fans, and made very light (about 20 grams).
