Shakumi represents the middle-aged woman, the face of which reflects her depth of mentality obtained through several life experiences. The mask gives also the sense of maternity, love and anxiety for her sons. The stories in which this mask in used are “Hyakuman”, “Sumidagawa”, “Mitsuidera” and “Sakuragawa”.
