Short presentation

The constitution of the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation, dated 3^rd Novembre 1998, is the final step of an activity set up since 1992 by present President, Paolo Del Bianco, with the support of a special committee. After different years of experience, it has been possible to create and carry out an organisation and a series of initiatives in order to let young people of different countries and cultures meet and get acquainted each other, to contribute to the development of the peace in the world.

• Since November 1997 till February 1998, we have accepted many Professors and groups of Students accompanied by their teachers, coming from University and Academies of Germany (Feldkirchen, Bruchsal), Finland (Tamper), Poland (Warsaw, Bydgoszez, Stetting, Krakow), Byelorussia (Minsk), Republic of Czech. (Prague), Slovak (Bratislava, Trnava), Hungary (Budapest), Russia (Moscow), Lithuania (Vilnius), Kazakistan (Almaty), Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya, Gunma, Aichi, Kobe)

• From 15th till 22nd November 1997, two members of Feldkirchen Volkshochschule (Germany)

• From 17th till 27th November 1997, a Professor of Tama Art University of Tokyo (Japan)

• From 18th till 25th November 1997 2 members of Nagoya House of Music (Japan)

• From 17th till 24th November 1997 we have accepted groups coming from the Academy of Fine Arts of Krakow (Poland), Prague (Czech Republic), and Bratislava (Slovak). In November 20th 1997 the groups have been welcomed by Prof. Domenico Viggiano Principal of Fine Arts of Florence. During their stay the Professors had the opportunity to visit the studio of sculptor Igor Mitoraj, the Foundry of Del Chiaro, and the marble quarry of Colonnata (Massa Carrara). Then our guests could also visit the Uffizi Gallery, Palatine Gallery (Pitti Palace) and the Academy Gallery.

On the 21st November 1997 has been held , at Vivahotel Alexander, the Evening of Prize Giving of the best works of the different teams of students of the various Academies. The prize has been given to the students by Dr Guiducci Bonanni Councillor of Educational Department of Florence. At the social event participated the members of Tama Art University, and Nagoya House of Music.

• From 17th till 19th December 1997 we have accepted a member of the Institute of Theoretical Physic & Astronomy of Vilnius and from 18th till 21st December 1997 a member of the Almaty (Kazakhstan) Science Academy, are going to be present at the next congress "XXXIII International Conference on Co-ordination Chemistry" which will be held from the 30th August 1998 till the 4th September 1998.

• From 27th December 1997 till 3rd January 2 members of the Volkshochschule of Feldkirchen (Germany)

• From 12th till 17th 1998, a member of Modern Art Museum of Gunma (Japan)

• From 12th till 20th January 1998 we have accepted, in collaboration with the Florence Council, a delegation of young dancers of the Children Folk Dance Group "Mertskhali" of Tbilisi (Rep. Of Georgia). They have performed with great success at Puccini Theatre of Florence and Theatre of "Chiesa del Vivaio" at Incisa Valdarno. During their stay the group has been invited at "Palazzo Vecchio" by Dr. Guiducci Bonanni (Councillor of Educational Department of Florence Council) as the representative of the Lord Mayor. The delegation was also represented by the Art Director Lady Mzia Kankaveli and Professor Gia Gvaramia, as representative of the Educational Department.

• From 19th till 26th January 1998 a Professor of piano of the Music Academy of Prague (Czech Rep.)

• From 20th till 26th January 1998 have been invited the representing of the Lord Mayor of Bydgoszcz and another representing of the Music Academy Bydgoszcz (Poland) and they have performed a successful concert at the State Conservatory of Florence Luigi Cherubini, in presence of Master Giovanni Cicconi , Principal of the Conservatory. During their stay they could participate on the return at the Palatine Gallery of the Titian's painting "Portrait of Cardinal Ippolito dei Medici in Hungarian Dress".

• From 26th January till 2nd February 1998 we have accepted the groups of the Architecture Faculty of Stetting (Poland), Tampere (Finland) and Minsk (Bielorussia), and in that occasion they met Professor Gurrieri Principal of the Architecture Faculty of the University of Florence. On the 30th January 1998, at the VIVAHOTEL Alexander, has been held the Evening of Prize Giving of the best works of the students of Architecture Faculty.

Among the people we outline the presence of the representing of the Music Academy of Prague.

• From 2nd till 9th February 1998 we have accepted the groups of the Architecture Faculties of Warsaw and Krakow (Poland), Prague (Rep. Czech), and Budapest (Hungary).On the 3rd of February the groups have been invited to participate to the conference of Professor Silvano Fei, held at the Conference Room of "Monte dei Paschi di Siena", and on February the 5th 1998 they have been invited by the Lord Mayor Professor Mario Primicerio , Arch. Oberdan Armanni Manager of the Urbanistic Office, and the Arch. Giancarlo Sfogli, Responsible of the Private Building Office, at "Palazzo Vecchio".

During their stay they could visit the Uffizi Gallery, the Palatine Gallery (Pitti Palace), the Academy Gallery, the San Marco Museum and the Museum "Florence come era". On February the 6th 1998 at Vivahotel Fleming, has been held the Evening of Prize Giving of the best works of the different teams of students of the various Architecture Faculties.

• From 13th till 23rd February 1998 a representing of the Architecture Faculty of Aichi (Japan).

• From 17th till 25th February 1998 a representing of the Architecture Institute of Kobe (Japan).

• From 15th till 23rd February 1998 we have accepted groups of History of Art Faculty of Krakow (Poland), Warsaw (Poland), Trnava (Slovakia), and Budapest (Hungary). During their stay, they could visit the Uffizi Gallery , the Palatine Gallery (Pitti Palace), the Gallery Academy, and the Vasari Corridor. On the 20th February 1998, at the VIVAHOTEL Alexander, has been held the Evening of Prize Giving of the best works of different teams of the students of the various Architecture Faculties, among the most important people who have participated at the event we mention Professor Mandelli, representing the Principal of the Architecture Faculty of the University of Florence, and Professor Viggiano Principal of the Fine Arts Academy of Florence, the representing of the Architecture Faculty of the University of Aichi, the representing of the Institute of Architecture of Kobe, the representing of the Art Academy, Architecture and Drawing of Prague, Professor Tricarico, Professor D'Avanzo, Professor Faini, Professor Marchi, Surveyor Catarzi. With these members of the group, we have started to make a list of possible points to be treated next year, which had been already analysed with the other participants.

• From 20th till 28th February 1998 a representing of University of Fine Arts of Tokyo (Japan).

• From 21st till 28th February 1998 two members of Volkshochschule of Bruchsal (Germany).

• From 22nd till 28th February 1998 two members of the Fine Arts Academy of Moscow (Russia).

At the end of the project on the 25th of February, our guests have been invited to dine at the Vivahotel Alexander, among the scholar guests of the President Paolo Del Bianco we mention the presence of the representing of Tokyo University and Fine Arts of Moscow, Music Academy of Prague and the Art Academy, Architecture and Drawing of Prague. During the evening all the participants have contributed to updated and complete accurately, the list of the most important subjects of the Project.
