The genre of Animated Cartoon offers a perfect means of human communication as it often does not require words being easily understandable for people of any culture or age. It promotes human values through positive humour and this way has a power to change the world for the better. The organisers are certain that animation can and should pay an important educational role in bringing-up ecological consciousness and mock xenophobia, nationalism, corruption and other distortions of a human society. One of the main aims of the project is to support non-commercial student's animation as the best alternative to the dominating TV commercials. The aim of the workshop is to keep informed all the interested people, animators, film directors and amateurs together with all the friends of the Foundation about the results carried out of the showcase and student's contect of animation. The subject of the project is : “The Town and the River”.The importance of this project is beyond overestimation because it offers a unique opportunity to bring students-animators and leading professors from East European and Asian schools of animation together for animation show, master class, networking and sharing experience and ideas from which both sides will benefit.
