  Brief description of the initiative:

Equipment

Each participant (2-person team) have digital camera
Romualdo del Bianco Fondazione have provided laboratory room, computers, software, Internet connection.

Commnication

During preliminary phase Internet website is going to be created on Warsaw Faculty server. All important information will be published on the website to help future participants. After Florence initiative finished we are going to publish workshop results on the same address (linked to Romualdo Del Bianco Fondazione website).

Main intention

of the planned workshop was to examine computer media in architectural theory deliberations. Students from different universities are going to prepare presentation. It was concerning perspective impression influence on space consciousness.

First stage (observation, Interpretation)

  • Method of work: individual

  • Tools: digital camera, scanner, computer

  • Software Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator

Students have received materials containing formal analysis of the chosen painting from Italian renaissance epoch. While visiting Florence they were choosing fragment (fragments) of the city scenery, related to the painting’s composition. They were preparing photographic or movie documentation showing the object from different viewpoints. In multimedia presentation students will present artistic vision of the study subject.

Second stage (creation)

  • Method of work: team working

  • Tools computer

  • Software AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, 3D Studio, Macromedia Flash, Director etc...

Students were working on the computer. They have designed 3D model (or graphic illusion of 3D space). Computer animation based on that was the vision of virtual scenery parallel to real images researched in the first stage of workshop.
