"Brotherhood among people through graphic arts"

Dana Dujmovic is the winner of a study grant for a short training of 3 months at the International School of Specialisation in Graphic Arts of Florence "Il Bisonte", the study grant was prepared by the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation.

Dana has achieved a degree at the Faculty of Philosophy in Fiume with the specialisation in Figurative Arts. During the months that she has spent at the Bisonte she has further developed the chalcographical techniques learned in Fiume integrating her engraving works with the aquatint, the " method at sugar ", the black method, getting to excellent results. From the early days she was integrated in the atmosphere of the school, that was constituted by students of different European nationalities, Americans, Australians, Japaneses, and of course Italians. This difference of training makes an interchange of cultures, which are the most productive experiences in the school, through an introduction to the work that everyone takes under the guide of teachers with a long experience, like the Professor Manuel Ortega from Panama, Vincenzo Burlizzi, and the Japanese Narumi Harashina.

Dana has taken advantage of all this, I'm very satisfied for her and for the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation; the results are clear from the engravings that she has produced during those months in our school.

At the end of the school year, like ever, we will organise an exhibition of the student's works in a place that the District of Florence will arrange, and we will publish a catalogue; Dana will take part with all the members of the school to this exhibition exhibiting her works, one of those done for a competition announced by the director of the "Il Bisonte" Mrs. Maria Luigia Guaita, about the subject "The Landscape Breaked". An engagement of all the students of the Bisonte for a further accusation about the interventions that change negatively our Italian and foreign programme.
