The Historical Buildings’ Documentation and Popularization Centre at the Provincial Culture Centre in Bydgoszcz together with the Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum in Bydgoszcz, the Lovers of Bydgoszcz Association and the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Economy in Bydgoszcz invite to participate in the scientific conference:
‘From a tenement to a luxury apartment building. Urban multi-family residential buildings.’ which will take place in Bydgoszcz on the 18th and 19th of September 2009.

The session programme guidelines:
The proposed scope of issues, which should be presented in the papers during the session, focuses on presenting the architecture and history of multi-family residential buildings against a background of the urban environment, combined with history, culture, system, sociology through the ages, and also on presenting the problems related to the revitalization and protection of the quarters of historical residential buildings. Every paper is going to be 20 minutes long. We provide fees for the presentation and printing of post-session materials, financed by the Municipal Council in Bydgoszcz. Participants are requested to come forward by the end of April 2009.
